September Currently

You know what time it is??? It's the first of the month and time for Farley's Currently! I can't express how much I love this linky each month. Maybe because it is a chance to reflect. Or maybe it's because of the way too cute graphic each month. I'm guessing I love it because I get to talk about ME!
Here we go! Don't forget to click back to read other Currently posts.

Listening: Nobody is up in this house, except me. Even the dog went back to bed. Ahhh! I don't mind hearing that washing machine going, but I sure wish I didn't have to hear it all day, which will probably be the case.
Loving: **Proud Mama Disclaimer: You are about to hear me get all gushy and I will possibly shed a tear. I have the right to do so because my baby girls is a senior this year and all mamas are allowed to do this several times without judgement.**

All I can say is WOW! I know my daughter is beautiful, but seriously, my buddy Melissa (hi girl!) made her look like a model. She took her pictures this summer and they just look amazing. Not only is Melissa a camera wizard, she's also a fabulous soon-to-be teacher!
I can't stop staring at them! Now I really need a tissue. I can't believe she is so grown up. I can't wait to get these on my wall in a spot where I can set up a shrine when she leaves for college. I'm going to soak up every last minute of this year with her. I must stop before I short out my laptop with all these tears.
Thinking: I have a huge amount of basil growing in pots on my patio and I really want to use it before the weather turns. I know some pesto sauce is in my future and there is nothing like fresh pesto tossed with some sauteed chicken and pasta.
Wanting: I had such an amazing summer that I want to go back and do it all over again. I wouldn't change a thing. It was perfect!
Needing: Who doesn't want a house elf? There is a big spiderweb way up high in my entryway and I can't reach it without getting out the huge ladder. The problem is that I'm afraid of heights and grossed out with spiderwebs. Since I don't have a house elf, I'm wondering if I can convince the hubs to do it. He isn't quite as subservient as a house elf, but much better to look at. I guess I'll keep him.
3 Trips: I have never been to Europe and I'm a museum freak so obviously I would love Paris. I'm a quarter Italian so going anywhere in Italy would be a culinary dream come true (as long as I could wear stretchy pants). I've also always wanted to see Australia and the Great Barrier Reef.

  1. Oh my word! I said I needed to clean my house too, but a House Elf would be worth my entire TPT check for sure!!!! If you find a number to buy one please let me know! :) Your daughter is gorgeous! I see you are from NM! I did a missions trip several years back on the Navajo reservation. It is gorgeous in that area of the US. Enjoy your Labor Day off!!!
